About Dry Fog
The Process
The odor in your vehicle is most obvious or strong under extreme temperatures. That's is why people detect odors in their car mostly during winter and summer time. The first two steps of the odor removal process targets just that.
In Step 1, we turn on AC, circulation air, top vents, and fan on high. The air blower is directly under the glove compartment and by blowing top vents, the odor counteractants goes directly into the blower, through and out the AC core and the entire ventilation system. In Step 2, we turn on high heat and everything else remain the same. In Step 3, we could turn off the fan if the odor is in the cabin or just turn off the heat and AC if the odor is in the ventilation system.
Remember
All food related products in the cabin AND in the trunk must be removed prior to the odor removal process. The odor counteractant can get into the trunk due to it's extremely small particle.
In order for the counteractant to be affective, the doors and windows should remain closed for at least 30 minutes. After that, depending on the odor, the longer you leave the doors and windows close, the longer the counteractant would remain in the car.
Watch Out!
In some very rare cases, those that are sensitive could be allergic to the odor counteractants. Symptoms include but not limited to, running rose, watery eyes, and sneezing.
The odor counteractant is attracted to dust particles. After the counteractant has been deployed, you might see some buildup wherever there is dust. However, it DOES NOT produce any stickiness to the surface. A clean wipe (dry or wet) can easily remove the buildup.
The odor counteractant does have a scent as a byproduct of the odor removal process. Some people might not like it, and the best description of the smell is baby powder. :-)
Keep in mind that the odor counteractant only remove the odors that are in the car when the odor counteractant was deployed. For odors like AC mildew or cigarette smell can come back due to future exposure.
Also, if there was a spill of any kind. It must be cleaned from the cushion(s) and/or carpet(s) prior to the odor removal process.
