It's like a series of High and Low Points or Spots that formed a line. Like the High and Low Spots it can be repaired. But the sharp creases can cause the paint to chip or crack.
Crown or Smile
It's when one side of the dent has been stretch into the low spot while the other side of the dent has been pushed into a crown or "smile" like high spot. This is the most difficult dent to repair in PDR.
