Car Wash Method

Most people under estimate the importance of a car wash. Majority of the swirls and scratches on your car are from an improper wash. The paint surface of the car is very delicate and you would want to treat it with care. There are several factors to consider to hand wash your car safe and free from damages. What materials or tools you use and how you wash impact the outcome of the wash. It is best to use soft and delicate cloth that is microfiber material to wash and dry your car, especially those that won't trap dirt or debris that can be dragged onto the car. Detail Addict auto detailing service offers a delicate and thorough car washing method that won't damage your car any further. We would like to take this opportunity to share the car washing process with you to help maintain the cosmetic quality and value of your car after a good detailing work.

A well care and thorough car washing requires a microfiber wash towel, foam gun, and a grit guard follow by a two bucket water system hand wash. Before the car is foamed down, it is rinsed with a water pressure machine to break off any hard dirt on the car. The whole car is foamed down with soap to loosen and soften the remaining stubborn solid dirt or debris. One bucket contains soap water and the other bucket is rinse water with a grit guard. The rinse bucket with the grit guard allows separation of debris and water by keeping the solids/dirt on the bottom of the bucket. Every wash is frequently rinsed and dipped back into the soap bucket. This bucket system technique reduces or minimizes dragging any solids/debris onto the car that potentially scratches the paint surfaces of the car. Wash the top half of the car first and save the bottom half for last because majority of the harmful debris are from the bottom where kicked off road grimes and contaminants most occur. This method is an extra precaution to prevent dragging the harmful debris all over the car.

Procedures

1.  Prepare a two bucket system to wash down the entire car. One is a rinse bucket with a grit guard and the other is the soap bucket.

2.  Rinse down the car with a water pressure to break off any hard solid debris.

3.  Foam gun the entire car. Allow it to soak to soften any remaining stubborn solid debris that wasn't able to come off with the water pressure.

4.  Wash the top half of the car first and the bottom half at the end. We want to minimize dragging harmful debris onto the rest of the car.

5.  Soap and wash.

6.  After 1-2 sections, rinse wash cloth into the rinse bucket to loosen off any hard debris caught onto it. The grit guard traps these solids at the bottom of the bucket keeping the water on the top clean.

6.  Dip the wash cloth back into the soap bucket again to wash.

6.  Repeat step 5 & 6 in between wash per section.

6.  For easy touch up after a good detail work, spray detail spray and buff off with a microfiber towel.
