Maintenance Guide

Unfortunately as good as it may sound it is too far fetch. However, you can still enjoy your beautiful detailed car as long as you can just the same without the crazy thought or idea simply by doing it the right old fashion way. Wash and wax your car when it needs it and keep up with the maintenance level recommended. Owning the right equipment and washing your car the proper way will keep your car looking beautiful and staying protected.

Simple rules:

A. Know when it is time to do your maintenance. The longer you procrastinate the more work and money you have to put into it. Detail Addict detailing planner can help you stay on track.

B. Keep the car in the garage or indoor. Minimize sun or environmental contaminant exposure.

C. When parking outdoor, stay away from sprinklers or any water source that can splash onto the car. Hard water can leave permanent water stain. It needs to be clayed and polished to remove the stain.

D. When your car has any of the contaminants or debris such as bird droppings, dead bugs, tar, spit, or sap remove them immediately. These will eat into the clear coat of your paint.

E. Routine application of wax to protect the paint from harmful contaminants. Cleaning will be much easier and saves you time.

F. You can put car covers on your car, but make sure the car cover material is soft and delicate to paint. Prevent movement of the car covers on top of the paint surfaces. This can induce scratches.

Option 1: Do it yourself wash and wax maintenance.

If you plan to wash your car at home, the first step is to own the right equipment and materials that can save you time and money. Your car will be well cared for if you know what is safe to use. Click on “how to car wash” to learn how to wash your car properly to reduce or minimize damages. After your car is nice and clean apply a layer of wax to protect it. You can add multiple layers of wax for better protection. If you own a machine polisher, it will save you a lot of time instead of applying it by hand. To prevent further damages on the car such as swirl marks or scratches please consider owning the following recommended materials:

•  Super plush microfiber wash towel.
