How do you know which professional auto detailing service is right for your car? Before meeting with a professional detailer we would like to help you get started. In order to better assist you Detail Addict has designed a diagnostic guideline to help assess your needs and what service package is most preferred for your car. Evaluate the condition of the car and see if the following apply.

Clay Bar
|
Remove Contamination • Road grime • Tar • Bugs • Rust • Tree sap • Paint overspray • Does not remove clear coat of paint. • Does not replace polish. |
• Depends on the condition of the car, use when necessary. • If car is in good condition, use 1-2x per year. |
Polish
|
Cleans and removes surface imperfections • Oxidation • Swirls • Scratches • Water deposits |
• If using proper wash method and equipment, microfiber etc, it should only be needed when there is bird dropping, water mark, light oxidation, light swirls/scratches, and etc. |
Glaze

• Fill and mask minor imperfections remaining after polishing |
• It only last about 1-2 weeks. Reapply when needed. |
Sealant
|
• Enhance the brilliance of the finish. • Give paint a very wet look, feel ultra smooth, and ultra reflective |
• Depends on where the car is parked. • If kept in the garage, may last up to 3 months or more |
Wax
|
• Provide protection. • Further enhance the gloss and depth of the paint. • Make cleaning easier. |
• If the car is parked inside, may last 1-3 months or more. • If the car is parked outside, may require re-application in less than 1 months. |
Carnauba wax |
• Give a warm and wet looking finish. • Naturally derived from palm tree in Brazil. |
• Due to high content of synthetic wax, durability is shorter. |
